What attracted me to Spire

I was new to Alabama, working at a garment factory and was interested in finding a better opportunity. A church member and friend who worked for Spire informed me about an opening in Marion, Al. I applied and was hired as a part-time clerk 28 years ago.

My favorite thing about my job

The family atmosphere—it makes the workday enjoyable. I have met some great people during my 28 years with the company. I still stay in touch with former co-workers.

When I’m not working, you can find me

I love spending time with my Shih Tzu Sasha Mack and my nephews.

For the past seven years, I have served as the Grand Matron of the Silver Queen Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star for the State of Alabama. The organization focuses on serving communities, volunteering and providing charity to those in need. One of my most memorable trips was traveling to Columbia, S.C. to assist with disaster relief efforts following the flooding. I took food, cleaning supplies, bleach and lots of water to Reid Chapel AME Church.
