Spire is seeking a Workload Planning Administrator to work in our Birmingham, AL operation. 

Primary duties:

  • Assist in managing the daily activities and provide guidance and direction to the Workload Planning employees
  • Ensure accurate and timely response to customer needs
  • Ensure consistent use of technology across all Companies within Spire
  • Maintain regular communication between all Company groups related to or impacting Field Operations
  • Perform the duties of Manager, Workload Planning when necessary
  • Serve as liaison between the Workload Planning and the IT field support team
  • Assist work group in maintaining focus on meeting company and compliance goals
  • Document system issues
  • Oversee system testing and changes before changes are moved to production
  • Back up and assist other department employees as necessary
  • Research inquiries from internal customers and provide feedback
  • Ensure that the employees assigned to the Workload Planning Group are adequately trained
  • Ensure annual performance appraisals are conducted and completed in accordance to the outlined procedure
  • Provide guidance and counseling to address employee performance and developmental needs
  • Ensure employee growth by providing challenges and opportunities for individuals to excel and advance within the Company
  • Provide analytical reports to management and operations regarding workload
  • Continually look for ways to enhance customer service with process improvements and/or advances in technology
  • Assist with development of reporting from systems as they arise
  • All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory responsibilities:

  • Individuals assigned to the Workload Planning Group

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or engineering or equivalent experience
  • Three years’ experience as a foreman, supervisor, lead, or similar leadership related duties
  • Three years of experience working in the natural gas industry

Work environment:

  • A mix of normal office conditions and outdoors exposed to all weather conditions on site visits
  • Occasional travel may be required
