Candidate will work closely with various managers and supervisors in the Transportation Department to assist in daily job functions and be assigned various projects to provide insight into current work practices and operational experience.

Primary duties:

  • Coordinate and complete projects based on departmental needs
  • Assist in collecting and analyzing data to determine effectiveness of programs and assist in identifying areas of opportunity
  • Develop and revise reports and presentations such as PowerPoints and Business Cases, to management
  • Review and complete various types of paperwork, such as vehicle recall, driver vehicle inspection reports, vehicle and equipment check sheets, etc. Aid in documenting processes, recommending areas for improvement, and rolling-out new formats – where applicable.
  • Provide development support for SharePoint site and various customer support documentation
  • Assist in the report development, testing and implementation, as well as understanding and use of enterprise- wide applications
  • Coordinate and oversee all development and testing for reporting applications
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education and experience:

  • Must be a currently enrolled Junior, Senior or Graduate student
  • Must have completed at least 50 hours of required coursework towards their Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering or related field.
  • Must be performing within the college’s acceptable GPA level.
  • Must have at least six months of general work experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency required in Word, Excel, and Power Point, with advanced skills in using Excel. Knowledge in using and working in SharePoint a plus.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

Certificates, licenses, registrations:

  • Valid Driver's License

Work environment:

A mix of normal office conditions, outdoors, exposed to all weather conditions, in construction areas with uneven surfaces and in areas exposed to loud, audible noises.
