Spire is seeking a Systems Analyst III to work in the St. Louis, MO operation. This position will be responsible for working with application and system owners across the organization to develop, configure, schedule and enable monitoring of production batch jobs, operational tasks and application integration.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, support and upgrade the scheduling automation environments and job scheduler packages.
  • Drive the automation of operational and batch processes within the application development and infrastructure teams.
  • Review and oversee the implementation of job scheduling requests to evaluate processing requirements and ensure business SLA’s are met.
  • Set up monitoring for all automated jobs, including alerting, messaging and escalation based on application SLA’s.
  • Develop key performance metrics to analyze and report on performance and resource usage in order to manage capacity planning and drive operational improvements.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Automic product strategies and roadmaps to support current and future automation and production control initiatives.
  • Provide operational support for Automic product, responsible for research and resolution of technical problems.
  • Provide technical leadership, as required, to various developers during defect resolution or enhancement assignment efforts.

Required Education: (may include certifications, licenses and registrations)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent studies and/or 3-5 years' equivalent experience in Automic Scheduling Application

Required knowledge, skill and abilities:

  • 4-6 years of Systems Analysis experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with CCB integration with the Automic AE and/or AppWorx integration.
  • 3 years in production control operations with extensive experience in Automic (UC4) Automation Engine –Automated Engine V12, AppWorx or other distributed application scheduler equivalent.
  • 2+ years of shell scripting Experience in Unix or Linux development.
  • 2+ years of experience with file transfer protocols and approaches
  • SQL development experience
  • Working knowledge of Oracle database
  • Familiarity with application development and release processes with a good understanding of batch cycles and business processes.
  • Familiarity with computing infrastructures, including data security, operations, networking, operating systems and databases.
