The Senior Specialist, Talent Acquisition will be responsible to spearhead our company growth & development efforts by managing the full life cycle of the talent acquisition process from role specification through the employment offer and onboarding.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners across Spire to understand staffing, hiring needs, work environments and job profiles.
  • Proactively partner with hiring managers to identify effective sourcing strategies with the objective of selecting the highest qualified candidates for each opening.
  • Manage the entire talent acquisition life cycle including the interview process where candidates are comprehensively evaluated.
  • Drive onboarding activities, including reference and employment verification, criminal background review, pre-employment screening scheduling, accurate clearance for new hires attending new employee orientation
  • Develop competitive offers under the guidance of the compensation team, create offer letters and effectively extend offers to candidates
  • Build and maintains relationships with external applicants and hiring managers throughout the talent acquisition process
  • Support Manager, Talent Acquisition in developing and executing corporate-wide talent acquisition strategy and affirmative action plan
  • Partner with Employee Relations to review and update job descriptions as needed
  • Responsible for assisting with preparation of our diversity initiatives, statistical reports required by government agencies (AAP and EEO-1, EEO, Vets-100)
  • Responsible for assisting in coordination and delivery of orientation and onboarding activities for new employees
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of recruiting issues and trends, labor laws, and legislative initiatives to ensure legal compliance.
  • Handle external advertising, applicant tracking, employee referral, and internship programs
  • Develop and implements solutions to ensure continuous improvement of talent acquisition processes and tools.

Supervisory Responsibilities


Required Education (certifications, licenses)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other business related field required
  • Internet Certified Recruiter or PHR Certification preferred


Required knowledge, skill and abilities
  • A minimum of five years of experience recruiting, sourcing, staffing and managing pipelines preferred
  • A minimum of three years of proven experience in talent pipelining and forecasting
  • Experience recruiting in both corporate and consulting environments
  • Must have a strong understanding of SOX, OFCCP, EEO and Affirmative Action.
  • Must be able to travel for recruiting events
  • Proficient with full MSO suite and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience using Web 2.0/3.0 Technologies and social media resources
Physical demands, environment and schedule
  • Work is performed in a shared, open-office environment
  • Requires work during nonstandard business hours with occasional travel
