Summary

Spire is seeking a SCADA Administrator to work in our St. Louis, MO office. This position will be responsible for providing maintenance and improvements to the Company’s SCADA systems. This position will also support other Gas Operations teams in various SCADA-related projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform tasks and activities for development, design, implementation, testing, and operation of SCADA system(s)
Responsible for troubleshooting and configuring the SCADA system(s)
Develop and maintains SCADA related HMI graphics, reports, trends, and applications for use by Gas Control, field technicians, and other departments
Support Gas Control and other Gas Operations departments with the use of the SCADA system(s)
Assist Spire IT in monitoring and troubleshooting activities related to SCADA server and workstation hardware, performance, network infrastructure, and security
Design, configure and troubleshoot SCADA RTUs, communication devices, telecommunications software, and data exchange protocols.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards associated with PHMSA and Department of Transportation requirements
Configure and maintain existing software and hardware that relate to SCADA operations

Summary

This position builds, maintains and repairs various types of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment. Work includes routine checking of such equipment and troubleshooting failures of the equipment if they occur. May be required to make calculations of electrical and pneumatic systems to assure their proper functioning. Must be capable of communicating verbally or in writing so as to make clear concise reports when required.

Generally maintains, repairs, tests and inspects a wide variety of equipment common to regulators, odorizers and telemetric systems.
Monitors vaults and recording locations, repairs leaks, pumping water and replacing defective parts where required.
Installs telemetric and recording gauges at various locations within the system, changing charts and changing batteries in clocks on a schedule.
Prepares various daily, periodic or occasional reports on work performed, condition of equipment or status. Factual and accurate reporting is required.
Inspects, sets, refills, installs and otherwise adjusts and maintains odorizers. May be required to compute flow rates and evaluate consumption of odorant.
Performs shutdowns of various stations and equipment, coordinating the efforts of construction and Maintenance and System Control.
Responsible for maintaining proper truck stock, work material, tools and supplies.

Schedule and coordinate shared equipment and resources.

Duties and Responsibilities

•   Schedule and coordinate shared equipment and resources
•   Coordinate and oversee the implementation of plans to attain departmental goals

Spire is seeking a Senior Analyst to support regulatory work for our Missouri utilities and work in our St. Louis, MO office. This position will be responsible to assist in all elements of state regulation for Missouri including research and analysis, forecasting and modelling, preparation and filing of regulatory requirements and pleading and will work in coordination with other functional areas in the company to help support efforts related to rate recovery and compliance with the rules and regulations of the Missouri Public Service Commission (MPSC).

Duties and Responsibilities

Support the preparation and filing of base rate proceedings, including ISRS, and related reporting requirements in the Missouri jurisdiction.

Communicates with the MPSC Staff, Office of Public Counsel and other entities regarding various filings.

Provides testimony, if needed, in General Rate Case filings or other regulatory filings.

Operate and maintain liquefaction process to provide storage and transfer of liquid natural gas.
Operate and maintain vaporization equipment to provide transfer and send out of natural gas vapor.
Operate and maintain off-site Satellite LNG Facilities at Double Springs and East Lauderdale
Operate and maintain Portable LNG Vaporizer at onsite and offsite locations as needed
Monitor transportation and storage of flammable and other potentially dangerous products to ensure that safety guidelines are followed. Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning.
Control operation of compressors, scrubbers, evaporators, and refrigeration equipment to liquefy, compress, or regasify natural gas. Operate natural gas equipment. Start up and shut down equipment.

Linux command line scripting experience is a must have. - Required

Experience with VMWare ESXi for server virtualization. 

Experience administering storage platforms (Pure, Isilon / PowerScale)

Experience with configuration management tools, in particular Ansible. 

Experience with Windows Server Management: understanding of Windows Server environments, including setup, deployment, and maintenance. 

Experience with Active Directory including user and group management, Group Policy, and domain services. 

Experience with file systems and share management, including troubleshooting shares, mounts, and permissions. (SMB / CIFS, NFS, EXT4, NTFS, Oracle ASM) 

Knowledge of networking concepts such as DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN. 

Experience with Scripting: Ability to create and manage scripts using bash, PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages. 

Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve hardware and software issues. 

Ability to work collaboratively with other IT teams and departments. 

Requires critical thinking skills, good judgment, and organized methods in all facets of assigned duties.  Requires sound judgment and decision-making skills to support the constantly changing computer environment. 

Possess good analytical skills and efficient problem-solving abilities. 

Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines 

Ability to complete work assignments by due dates and deliver projects on an agreed schedule 

Requires flexibility to work with users at all levels 

Requires flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities and rapid change 

Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to produce written documentation for technical and non-technical audiences 

Ability to develop and implement dependable, efficient, and error-free systems that meet user expectations and require minimal support 

Physical demands, environment and schedule

•   Normal 40 Hours work week - required participation in on-call rotation, including after normal work hours and on weekends
•   Department coverage is 7am to 5pm with flexibility in schedules to allow for full coverage
• Hybrid work schedule
•   Occasional Travel may be required as ITS and teams are dispersed geographically across Spire locations
