My job at Spire

I am a meter reader. My job may seem like routine work but you have to be prepared for something new every day. I am always building relationships with customers and it’s truly rewarding.

My most memorable experience at work

When I was in construction, I had to work on a 12-inch main downtown. That is the largest size pipe I have ever worked on. It was a learning experience that not only taught me a new skill that will help me in my day-to-day work, but also boosted my confidence in my abilities. Each day is a new adventure with new challenges and you never know what the day will bring.

What I love about working for Spire

I love the people that I work with. I feel fortunate that each day I get to work alongside people who feel like family. Spire is a great company. Getting hired here changed my life. It’s motivating to be part of a team that’s constantly looking for ways to improve and, more importantly, serve our community. It’s always rewarding to go home at the end of the day knowing you made a difference to so many customers.
