Summary
Spire is seeking an enthusiastic, career minded student or recent graduate to join our operations across our regions. Our paid internship position affords students the opportunity to gain real-world experience to help put what they have learned in class into action. As an Intern, you may complete various projects and perform administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned department and natural gas industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support the integrity management programs for pipelines and facilities (distribution, underground storage, LNG, regulator stations, odorizers, transmission, high pressure and HVL etc.)
• Assist with activities related to risk assessments and risk modeling analysis for pipelines and facilities (distribution, underground storage, LNG, regulator stations, odorizers, transmission, high pressure and HVL etc)
• Support the direction and management of integrity related projects, such as crossbore inspections, mechanical fitting inspections, etc.
• Support the company’s applicable infrastructure upgrade, replacement, and maintenance programs through prioritization modeling and recommendations. Examples include Cast Iron/Bare Steel Replacement, regulator station upgrades, transmission system and high pressure pipeline upgrades (pigging, valving and other enhancements) etc.
• Complete class location reviews, HCA/MCA reviews, and MAOP verification reviews, and similar integrity reviews
• Complete pipeline and facility system record reviews to confirm reliable, verifiable, and complete record information
• Support the integrity corrosion control and public awareness programs

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
• Must be an undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate level student.
• Must be able to work 35- 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required with most positions.
• Must participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and Project Poster Symposium
