Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting the Controller team for both the financial reporting and external reporting team. This position will assist with closing the ledgers, account analysis and assist in the preparation, review and coordination of external compliance filings.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare account analysis and assist in financial statement analysis and reporting
- Support financial reporting team with month-end close responsibilities including complex accounting journal entry support and analysis as required
- Prepare, review and coordinate external filings including assisting in the preparation of financial statements, disclosures and supplemental information for SEC filings.
- Prepare and assist on financial statement footnote disclosures
- Assist and support periodic reports for forms to:
- The Missouri Public Service Commission
- FERC Filings
- Benefit Plan statements including Form 5500
- Governmental surveys and forms
- Assist in the preparation of financial information for various management presentations and ad hoc analysis
- Keep abreast of changing US GAAP, SEC and regulatory rules and regulations
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Execute special project and ad hoc requests, as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
• Not currently
Required Education (certifications, licenses)
- • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar degree
• CPA desired or working toward CPA certification
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
• At least 3 years relevant experience
• Experience with FERC and utility regulatory accounting strongly preferred
• Strong, detailed knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft Excel
• Experience working in large scale ERP systems such as Oracle, Oracle HFM experience strongly preferred
Physical demands, environment and schedule
• Work is performed in a shared, open-office environment.
• Requires work during nonstandard business hours with occasional travel.
• Must be local to St. Louis, Missouri
