Summary
Spire is seeking a Fleet Warranty and Acquisition Specialist to work at our St Louis, Missouri location. The job will be responsible for providing guidance on fleet selection, evaluation of asset specifications, automotive and equipment warranty management, building key vendors relationships, asset acquisition, and management of strategic replacement plan with business units.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Manager, Fleet Acquisitions with budgetary information including pricing of new vehicles and equipment and evaluations for vehicle and equipment being recommended for replacement
- Build and evaluate fleet asset specifications to ensure safety and compliance standards
- Build and maintain vehicle files in Fleet Management Information System in preparation for vehicles to be placed in service
- Ensure all warranty information is loaded in Fleet Management Information System
- Monitor vehicles under warranty for maximum warranty utilization through OEM processes
- Periodically review internal repairs for warranty claims
- Ensure Fleet Management system has all warranty information loaded for assigned vehicles
- Monitor company rentals for potential shortfalls in vehicle fleet
- Conduct various interactions with business units to ensure proper asset fulfilment and procurement
- Coordinate and oversee vehicle and equipment retirement and disposal actions, including multiple on-line auctions, sales, and scrap sales annually
- Coordinate the placement of vehicles and equipment into active service
- Design, implement and oversee up-fitting and set-up of new vehicles, both in-house and with outside vendors, including installation of markings and specialized equipment
- Determine and implement changes and improvements to specifications, evaluate new products and ideas, and establish life cycles for all Fleet equipment
- Generate, review and finalize purchase orders for new and replacement fleet assets
- Identify opportunities to upfit vehicles and equipment to minimize modifications and speed delivery of final product to the business unit
- Prepare detailed specifications for vehicles, equipment and attachments, materials and supplies in order to comply with customer requirements and business needs
- Prepare requisitions, purchase orders, receive and evaluate bids, ensure specification compliance and make recommendations for awards for vehicle and equipment purchases
- Stay abreast of industry trends and practices
- All other duties as assigned

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
- Associate degree in business management or related area of study, required
- Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS) a plus
- Valid driver’s license required
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
- 3 years of relevant experience in the preparation of specifications for procurement of automobiles, heavy trucks, and construction equipment
- Familiar with the automotive fleet maintenance or repair industry
- Microsoft Office Suite skills, experience in fleet management software a plus
- General mechanical knowledge of a wide variety of vehicles and equipment
Physical demands, environment and schedule
- Requires Normal Physical Stamina – Works in office, garage and field environments
- Normal 40 Hour work week
- Travel up to 20% may be required
