Summary

This position is responsible for development, implementation and maintenance of Spire’s safety data systems. This includes facilitating with management and other requestors to ensure continuity of data deployed by the department throughout the organization. 

Duties and Responsibilities

•    Identify and develop Safety data sources from programs such as Maximo, CC&B, SDSPro, ISN, GPS Insight and Origami
•    Map and enhance Safety data links them from their sources into appropriate data systems such as PowerBI, OBIEE, Tableau, etc.
•    Work with the Manager, Safety to respond quickly to data requests from various stakeholders
•    Proactively develop and socialize reports to support business units in implementing Safety programs
•    Lead development and data-based Safety Department training and policies based on data
•    Prepare, analyze, utilize and coordinate reports and presentation to socialize safety data
•    Determine and develop best practice analytics with input from senior department members
•    Participate in industry group discussions of safety data best practices
•    Provide end-user training, support materials and consultation to ensure optimal adoption of Safety data systems throughout the organization
•    Maintain and proactively train other employees on equipment maintenance including trouble-shooting malfunctioning cameras
•    Manage logistics of on-going systems for repairs, maintenance and replacements
•    Proactively bolster other groups at Spire on department and employee-supported safety obligations
•    Work with internal customers to provide requested data from the systems
•    Act as liaison between Spire and vendors
•    Create and maintain Pos for payment to vendors
•    Lead processes to identify new vendors and bid out safety systems
•    All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

•    Bachelor’s degree required in Safety Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Business, Engineering or the Sciences

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

•    5 years of experience with analytics required
•    Background in Safety required
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required 
•    Experience with analytical software such as PowerBI, OBIEE and/or Tableau required
•    Experience with safety or risk management software such as Origami, ISN, SDSPro required
•    Natural Gas industry experience required
 

Physical demands, environment and schedule

•    Work Environment: Work is normally performed in a shared office environment. 
•    Working Hours: Typically, 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday.  Overtime may be required to meet strict deadlines
•    Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
