This position is responsible for developing relationships with regional leaders to assist with all areas of Human Resources; including recruiting, compensation, benefits, labor relations, talent review, workforce planning, training and development, performance management, as well as additional areas of need.

Primary duties:

  • Responds to and manages employee relations issues such as employee complaints and harassment allegations
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition team to source, interview, hire, onboard, and retain top talent
  • Understands and utilizes benefits and compensation information to address employee questions
  • Facilitates or provides training to employees on HR related topics such as systems, policies, procedures, employee relations counseling, and exit interviewing
  • Provide advice and assistance to business leaders regarding union contract provisions
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation involving employment practices; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Responsible for preparing statistical reports required by government agencies and the Company's progress toward goals
  • Responsible for organizing, accumulating, and preparing material and information related to the Company's response to claims made with various administrative agencies (NLRB, EEOC, etc.)
  • Provides a range of generalist support and problem resolution to an assigned client group including, but not limited to, implementation of FMLA and catastrophic leave policies, compliance with ADA, FLSA, and other related regulations and internal policies
  • Participate in various HR Project teams and initiatives
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience conducting internal investigations, harassment complaints and/or handling union grievances preferred

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Certificates, licenses, registrations:

PHR preferred

Work environment:

  • Normal Work Environment- Work is normally performed in a shared office environment
  • Travel 20 % of time required
