The Java Programmer III position will be responsible for developing various Java related programs focused on Oracle’s Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) utility module system and associated applications such as Maximo, mobile workforce, and Fusion. These applications also integrate with a LifeRay platform for front-end portal based transactions.

Primary duties:

  • Follows change control and management procedures
  • Supports and maintains Utility applications such as CC&B, Mobile workforce, portal applications using LifeRay platform
  • Supports integration of Utility applications with various modules of E-Business Suite such as Fusion middleware, Maximo, and other third-party applications
  • Prepares technical design documents based on the business requirements enhancements
  • Conducts developer or unit testing, reviews changes, and incorporates programming standards
  • Develops, schedules, maintains batch process for CC&B and other applications
  • Responds to trouble tickets to resolve various technology issues related to the Utility related modules such as CC&B, mobile workforce, portal applications, Fusions, and Maximo
  • Monitors business process and resolves problems on the priority
  • Keeps software up-to-date with new versions or patches
  • Creates and updates status tracking documents
  • Researches and evaluates emerging technologies relevant to our company needs and improvements
  • Schedules and supports performance activities using software tools
  • Provides analysis for all ITS compliance and audit controls
  • Works with business users, developers, functional teams, integrators, vendors, to implement new projects and enhance to improve existing applications
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Requires thorough knowledge of Java development workbench and tools
  • 5 years of experience working with Oracle JDevloper environment and applications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of using Eclips and Java Development Kit
  • Requires experience maintaining of Java related applications
  • Development experience with CC&B, LifeRay platform are preferred
  • Expert knowledge with JavaScript, ASP.NET, Dot Net, and HTML applications
  • Requires design experience using SQL server, SQL, and relational database
  • Experience supporting different business applications on Windows and Linux environment
  • Skills to code complex programming techniques, debugging, and problem solving
  • Experience design and development of REST based APIs
  • Thorough knowledge of SQL stored procedures and DB structures
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of object-oriented program techniques
  • Requires knowledge of networking concepts
  • Highly motivated and passion to learn new and advanced technologies
  • Have knowledge of different SAP modules and their integration

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, and Engineering preferred

Work environment:

  • Normal Work Environment - Work is normally performed in a shared office environment
  • Typically, an 8-hour day, M-F
  • Some overtime and off hour support is required
  • Travel may be required
