Summary

Spire is seeking a Manager, Customer Facing Applications to oversee and provide guidance to a technical pool of resources. This role will lead and develop a highly skilled, cross functional technical staff to support critical customer facing applications and end-user groups, with a focus on continuous improvement, quality, and providing a high level of customer-centric service delivery.   

Duties and Responsibilities

Solid understanding of the role of application technologies, including but not limited to: Maximo, Oracle EBS, Hyperion, and Powerplan  

Provide leadership and oversight on all Internal Core Application streams 

Oversee diverse pool of technical resources to ensure continuous delivery of work as planned accordingly in the agile development teams 

Maintain alignment with overall Product vision and roadmap to ensure capacity and resources support needs of development teams 

Close knowledge gaps and build highly skilled resource pools to support core technology solutions by enabling training and building strategic development plans 

Maintain collaborative partnership with leaders, as well as peers, to ensure timely resolution of pending issues, team performance is monitored, and objectives are realized 

Partner effectively with Product Owners and Scrum Masters to isolate any team level performance concerns, create remediation plans, and attend team ceremonies as needed to stay connected  

Set measurable performance objectives annually with a focus on career pathing and opportunities for individuals 

Lead by example, provide motivation to team members, and instill accountability 

Provide ample support as needed to ensure tools and resources are provided to team to be successful

Supervisory Responsibilities

Direct supervision of large team of developer and technical resources. Internal Core applications include Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain applications 

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

Bachelor's degree in related field required 

SAFe certification(s) a plus  

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

Solid understanding of the role of application technologies, including but not limited to: Maximo, Oracle EBS, Hyperion, and Powerplan. 

Experience working collaboratively with development and Product Management teams 

Working knowledge of functionality, end to end processing for value streams within Asset Management, Engineering, Finance, and Supply Chain. 

5+ years’ experience working on cross-functional, cross-geographical integrated systems and projects 

5-8 years of progressive work experience playing an active role in technology delivery and/or business analysis 

Minimum 3 years in people leadership position, directly or indirectly 

Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and other Agile methodologies  

Physical demands, environment and schedule

Hybrid Remote/Office environment 

Work performed primarily during business hours, with off-hours support required at times 

Some Travel may be required as ITS and teams are disparate across locations
