Spire is seeking a Supervisor, Operations in the Republic, MO operation. This position is responsible for providing supervision and troubleshooting for the Field Operations Department.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor code compliance and emergency work in assigned areas
  • Develop and improve plans to achieve Company objectives and goals
  • Assign scheduled/emergency work to field employees
  • Complete paperwork and data entry for Payroll, Engineering, Safety, etc.
  • Train employees to work safely
  • Manage inventory and order tools and materials on the job site  
  • Support and develop the skills and abilities of employees
  • Provide feedback, coaching, coordination of training and development plans for staff
  • First point of contact for after hour responsibilities
  • All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Employees represented by a labor contract

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Class E chauffeur’s license

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • 2 to 3 years of prior job related experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of Service and Maintenance department work processes and procedures preferred

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Normal office conditions and outdoor exposure in construction areas with uneven surfaces and exposed to loud audible noises
  • Occasional travel required
  • 1st shift – occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays
