Spire is seeking a Facilities Engineer to work in our Evanston, WY office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for installation, operation, and maintenance of well site production facilities including GPUs, sand traps, meters, controls, and tanks.
  • Provide engineering support for the installation, operation and maintenance of the facility for drilling and completion.
  • Provide engineering support for the preparation of construction and as-built facility drawings by engineering consultants.
  • Track equipment and inventory to ensure adequate availability for upcoming installations.
  • Assure that facility installations comply with design parameters.
  • Work closely with engineering staff, field operations, gas control, land personnel and environmental staff to safely achieve regional goals.
  • Works with company SME’s to maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of applicable DOT, OSHA, EPA, other environmental/safety regulations and company processes and procedures. Implements appropriate provisions into maintenance procedures to assure compliance.
  • Ensures area of responsibility is compliant with safety, environmental and other company guidelines, policies, etc.
  • Review documents to confirm that all facilities information affected by a project has been updated on the current revision of the master document
  • Responsible for incoming and dispensing of materials, warehousing, and documentation of items
  • Assure inventory tracking is performed correctly, by making sure proof of purchase match what was received and fits the drawings and specifications
  • Tracking certificates of compliance, material test reports, batch control documents and MSDS Sheets
  • All other duties as assigned

Required Education: (may include certifications, licenses and registrations)

  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Chemical or Mechanical preferred)

Required knowledge, skill and abilities:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • At least 5 years of work experience in operations and engineering of a regulated natural gas underground storage system.
  • Familiarity with state and federal pipeline safety and underground storage regulations
  • Regularly perform project management tasks and effectively manage contractor employees.

Physical demands, work environment and work schedule:

  • Normal Work Environment - Work is normally performed in an office plant environment.
  • Typically 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
  • Moderate additional hours per month may be required for off-hour audits or to attend after-hours meetings
