Summary

Spire is seeking a Workload Planning Administrator. This position will assist in the coordination and direction of the day-to-day activities of the group.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily activities and provide guidance and direction to the Workload Planning employees
  • Act as an expert of the Work Scheduling and Enterprise Asset Management systems
  • Design and utilize reporting dashboards and reports in Excel, Oracle Business Intelligence, and Tableau in order to drive operational effectiveness
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the assigned functional area of responsibility and conduct research and analysis for recommendations to senior leadership to improve operational performance
  • Work with other areas of Customer Experience, Continuous Improvement, Field Operations, IT, and Operations Support to identify, improve, and implement best practices and process improvements
  • Perform root cause analysis for changing business conditions such as missed appointments, workforce capacity, 2hr appointments, average job duration and communicate those findings to leadership and the broader Workload Planning team
  • Assist with system testing and changes before changes are moved to production
  • Take ownership of strategic department projects as assigned by the Manager and Director of Workload Planning
  • Leverage large data sets to identify and provide analytical insight and recommendations for leadership
  • Assist in the forecasting and budgeting process

  • Owns training initiatives; assist with developing new policies and procedures, annual refresher training and cross training between departments

  • Sets employee performance objectives, conducts performance reviews, and implements action plans to ensure high level of performance
  • Takes ownership and provides personalized coaching through job shadowing and call monitoring to ensure all performance objectives are met
  • Perform the duties of Manager, Workload Planning and all other duties as assigned when necessary
  • All other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly lead and mentor assigned members of the Workload Planning team. 

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in an analytical field (e.g. Engineering, Science, Business, IT) or at least 3 years of relevant work experience leading people or projects

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • Interest in learning business functions and processes beyond area of expertise; drawing connections to the bigger picture
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets from multiple systems to aid decision making
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in order to meet individual goals and deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage for results, manage and development people
  • Ability to make independent decisions and delegate in a quick paced environment that is in the best interest of Spire
  • Ability to work as part of a team and display a positive attitude for this dynamic environment
  • Ability to recognize problems and respond, systematically gather information, sort through complex issues, understand consequences of decisions, seeks input from others
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data, process improvement, and relationship building is preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint or similar applications preferred
  • Experience utilizing data analytics/visualization preferred
  • Working knowledge of Click, Customer Care and Billing by Oracle, and Maximo, is valued
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics/visualization (Tableau)

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Normal office conditions.
  • Is subject to be called out during non-working hours for emergency assignments.
  • Requires frequent phone calls and interruption both during and after working hours.
  • May require work during nonstandard business hours.
  • Occasional travel may be required
