Spire is seeking a Workload Planning Analyst II to work in our business support group. This position will assist the Manager and Administrator of Workload Planning, in planning and assigning future dated work. The Analyst II will utilize technologies to ensure manpower is appropriate and proper work leveling and routing occur so that customer related requests, compliance targets, and new business tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with other areas of Field Operations, IT, and Operations Support to identify, improve, and implement best practices and process improvements
  • Utilize and master relevant scheduling and information systems (e.g. Click, Maximo, Oracle, SAP)
  • Assign, analyze, and report daily/weekly/monthly/yearly assignments of all work performed by Spire field operations
  • Understand and utilize reporting dashboards and reports (e.g. Excel, Oracle Business Intelligence, and Tableau)
  • Leverage large data sets to aid in decision making
  • Assist in performing root cause analysis for changing business and communicate those findings to the Manager, Administrator, and Specialist III
  • Evaluate, recommend, and perform adjustments to routes on daily basis based on changing business needs
  • Proactively assess future business conditions and adjust workload plan as necessary to support changing company initiatives
  • Answer calls and emails from Service Technicians, Customer Experience Agents and other stakeholders
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting process where necessary by providing relevant data

Supervisory Responsibilities

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in an analytical field (e.g. Engineering, Science, Business, IT) preferred or at least 3 years in a role that emphasizes the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed above

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • Experience in collecting and analyzing large data sets, process improvement, and relationship building
  • Aptitude to identify, learn and apply new business processes
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint or similar applications
  • Basic knowledge of data analytics/visualization (e.g. Tableau, IBM Cognos, Oracle BI)

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Normal Work Environment
  • Some field visits will be required from time to time
  • Work schedule alternates between M-F, T-Sat, or five over six. Mostly daytime hours, starting time may fluctuate with business needs
  • Some evenings, overtime, and/or travel, may be required
