Summary
Spire is seeking a Supervisor, Field Operations in the Lee's Summit, MO operation. This position is responsible for providing supervision and troubleshooting for the Field Operations department.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise the work involved in more complex installations or replacement projects involving all material types and sizes of pipe, including plastic, cast iron and steel.
- Plan and supervise the construction procedures and installation of each job, per Company standards, including contacting USIC or utilities to have facilities marked.
- Contact customers or contractors for access and availability to keep job progressing.
- Complete necessary paperwork and/or data entry, via computer, for Payroll, Engineering, Safety, etc.
- Monitor the job site for conditions that may be hazardous to employees or the public and keep track of existing soil conditions and maintain proper shoring and sloping per OSHA and Company standards.
- Train employees on proper construction and/or distribution maintenance procedures and standards.
- Observe and evaluate new and probationary employees.
- Manage inventory of tools and materials on the job site and order more as necessary to complete the job.
- Supervise and document testing of all pipe prior to it being entered into the distribution system.
- Oversee the implementation of plans to ensure the health and safety of all employees in the region.
- All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Required Education (certifications, licenses)
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required.
- Valid Missouri Class E Chauffer’s License, or the issuing state’s equivalent, required.
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
- 2 to 3 years of prior job-related experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of Service and Maintenance department work processes and procedures.
Physical demands, environment and schedule
- A mix of normal office conditions, outdoors and exposed to all weather conditions, in construction areas with uneven surfaces and in areas exposed to loud audible noises.
