Spire is hiring a Records Analyst in our downtown St. Louis, MO office.  The Records Analyst assists with the daily operation of the Records and Information Management (RIM) program in the formation and execution of RIM framework, policy, and standards. This position assists in the implementation and maintenance of enterprise RIM solutions and services, and in developing, interpreting and implementing RIM program strategies, policies, and procedures, and how these apply to various business needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of RIM policies and procedures, Records retention schedules, active and inactive Records, vital Records protection program and disaster recovery program.
  • Assist with the development of records classification schemes and associated file plans with businesses, and the design of these schemas in electronic repositories.
  • Assist with the review and cleanup of electronic information and migration between electronic storage systems.
  • Assist with the application of RIM technologies.
  • Train employees on RIM policy, procedures, and applications.
  • Assess business equipment and hardcopy space needs. 
  • Collaborate with the Records Manager to administer the planned and controlled security, confidentiality, and management of Records maintained in commercial Records centers.
  • Manage artifacts of historical significance.
  • Assist with the management of document imaging projects.
  • Maintain contact with peers and current field knowledge through membership in professional organizations, literature review and continued education. 
  • Coordinate the service of secure shred bins across the company.

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, library sciences or a related discipline preferred, or 2-3 years of direct and equivalent experience

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to appropriately handle issues and highly sensitive documents.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and enterprise content/records management systems, electronic records handling, imaging and emerging technologies.

•    Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
