Summary

Spire is seeking an Analyst, Supplier Management to work in our St. Louis, Kansas City or Birmingham operations.  The Analyst will support supplier management and supply chain data analytics, and reporting work. This position will be responsible for assisting with data validation, data sourcing, analysis, related system management, testing, presentation preparation and review, and updating and/or maintaining reporting and metrics. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with supply management master data management
  • Lead data validation, system management, and testing as needed
  • Assist with onboarding existing suppliers to Spire’s supplier portal
  • Lead report and metric maintenance and streamlining activities
  • Assist with and drive supply management projects, participating to varying degrees in certain phases of planning, analysis, presentation development, or other supporting activities
  • Provide input to help refine analytical frameworks, models, tools, reports, and dashboards to support supply management planning and performance 
  • Prepare account reconciliations, correcting journal entries, and assist with annual data filings
  • Performs job duties in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal controls
  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply management, finance, accounting, or computer science.
  • 2+ years’ experience in assisting with data management, reporting, and analysis
  • 2 or more years’ experience analyzing, validating, reporting, and visualizing data
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working in the source to pay process preferred
  • Preferred Tableau Certification: Certified Associate or Certified Professional
  • Data management and/or analysis designations

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

  • 2 or more years’ experience analyzing, reporting and, visualizing data
  • Advanced capabilities using Tableau, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Strong analytical and presentation development skills
  • Strategic thinking and knowledge of business, supply management, accounting and financial concepts, principles, and practices
  • Curiosity about supply management processes and how they impact business
  • Good written, oral and interpersonal communication skills and ability to help create persuasive presentations for diverse audiences

Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Work is normally performed in a shared office environment with the option to work from home up to two days per week. 
  • Requires some work during nonstandard business hours
  • Some travel may be required
  • Hybrid office/home work schedule available
