Summary

Spire is seeking an Endpoint Engineer. The Endpoint Engineer will work collaboratively with other IT groups to monitor, support, and maintain Spire’s endpoint environment. The position will be expected to maintain and manage Windows/Mac endpoints to ensure a reliable, secure, and cost-effective end user computing experience. We are looking for someone who can bring their experience, expertise, and help us deliver an amazing UC employee experience. 

Duties and Responsibilities

•    This role will have focus on maintaining, supporting, documenting, and providing sustained innovation for physical and virtual endpoints and associated applications.
•    Manage Windows and Mac images to create a standardized experience across the organization
•    Manage, maintain, and support all endpoint solutions.
•    Understand industry leading solutions and trends for assigned technologies and applying those as appropriate for Spire.
•    Understand business needs and partnering with appropriate IT counterparts to recommend technology solutions.
•    Create and maintain solutions architecture artifacts and other strategy and system documentation.
•    Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

•    N/A

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

•    2 – 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Technical Engineering preferred
•    5 – 7 years of directly related experience preferred
•    2+ years’ performing endpoint level 3 support functions.
•    2+ years’ experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft Intune, AirWatch/Workspace One, Windows and Mac platforms, Jamf, Group Policy Administration, and virtual desktops.
•    Jamf level 200 certification
•    Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma)
•    Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
•    Certified Information Systems Security Profiessional (CISSP)
•    SAFe certification(s)
 

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

•    Improve existing solutions thus increasing performance and overall efficiency
•    Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS configuration and management with PowerShell automation experience preferred.
•    Strong knowledge on endpoint product and technology evaluations 
•    Working knowledge in VOIP, with strong understanding of how these technologies enable voice to be sent over the internet preferred
•    Understanding of Session Border Controllers such as AudioCodes and Cisco Cube preferred 
•    Knowledge of unified communication carrier networks preferred
 

Physical demands, environment and schedule

•    Hybrid Remote/shared open-office environment
•    Work performed primarily during business hours, with off-hours support required at times to respond to critical production issues, on call requirements, and implementations
•    Some Travel may be required as ITS and teams are disparate across locations (primarily St. Louis and Birmingham)
