Summary
Spire is seeking a Product Owner, Internal Core Applications, to primarily focus on building, prioritizing, and maintaining the agile development team’s backlog consisting of user stories, defects, and enablers. In addition, the role is responsible for representing the customers perspective, within the internal facing area, and bridging any gaps needed for successful delivery of business value.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Review and reprioritize the backlog as part of the prep for Sprint Planning, including coordinating with other PO's on dependencies
• Ensure user stories maximize value by meeting the customer’s needs
• Lead Sprint Planning ceremony. Ensure team aligns and agrees on sprint plan
• Accept team’s work upon story completion including ensuring acceptance criteria and definition of done are met
• Lead the team in PI Planning in allocating work in sprints, identifying risks and dependencies, and team objectives
• Run Backlog Refinement ensuring Features meet the definition of ready and appropriate Product Management and SME's are available to discuss work
• Review test scripts (new and adjusted) submitted by the team to ensure QA has quality information
• Actively participate in team ceremonies - DSU, Retrospective, Reviews, and Inspect and Adapt
• Ensure the team is following all guidelines for audit and compliance
• Collaborate with the team to continuously monitor production applications and prioritize work to ensure efficient resolution of issues

Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct reporting responsibilities
Indirectly lead development team to become high-performing and quality driven
Required Education (certifications, licenses)
Bachelor's degree in related field
SAFe certification(s) as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and/or similar preferred
Minimum 3 years working in an agile environment a plus
Required knowledge, skill and abilities
Knowledge of specific set of applications used in Internal Core Operations, including but not limited to: Maximo, Oracle EBS, Powerplan, Hyperion (EPM, PCMCS)
Background of functionality, end to end processing for value streams within Asset Management Operations and Compliance, Supply Chain, or Finance
Understanding and knowledge of IT standards and controls
Ability to work with technical resources in an onshore and offshore environment
Understanding and knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies (i.e. waterfall, agile software development, and DevOps)
Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms, and processing environments a plus
Experience in large-scale implementation projects and indirect leadership skills a plus
Physical demands, environment and schedule
Hybrid Remote/Office environment
Work performed primarily during business hours, with off-hours support required at times
Some Travel may be required as ITS and teams are disparate across locations (primarily St. Louis and Birmingham)
