Spire is seeking a Second Class Technician to work in the Instrumental and Control Section of Gas Supply and Control at 5130 Wise Ave, St. Louis, MO. This position will be responsible for building, maintaining, and repairing various types of electrical, pneumatic and mechanical equipment.  May be required to make calculations of electrical and pneumatic systems to assure their proper functioning.  This position is subject to working at various plants and locations, under various schedules and is subject to emergency calls.

 

 Successful candidates must have the following experience and ability to qualify:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Satisfactory completion of courses in physics, algebra and trigonometry (physics and algebra are required)
  • Ability to have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to obtain a Class “E” Chauffer’s license
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions (extreme heat or cold)
  • Ability to work flexible work schedules
  • Ability to work at various plants, offices and vaults
  • Available for on-call emergencies
